This is a bilingual update of the concise list of indispensable to anyone interested in the diverse tree flora of the region. It has taken into account recent advances in the classification and naming of trees. While - as someone interested in learning about our trees for more than 30 years now - I dislike the renaming of the trees, birds and other animals, it is still important to keep up-to-date with science and changes in nomenclature. We now have a great tool to do this for the 1666 tree species, most of which are illustrated and have updated distribution maps. The indices of scientific names, synonyms (old names), common names in several local languages and the tree numbers facilitate information retrieval. This is an indispensable tool for any well-informed game rancher.
